Foundation Who we build for Solicitors

Websites and client
software for solicitors.

Almost every law firm website refuses to say what anything costs, so every enquiry starts with a fee conversation. Publishing the number is the single biggest conversion change available to a high street firm.

The bit that hurts

Nobody will say
what it costs.

Which means every enquiry begins with a price conversation, every file begins with three weeks of chasing paperwork, and every client rings to ask what is happening.

01

Every enquiry starts with the fee

Because the website would not say. That is a phone call per enquiry, a quote per phone call, and a good share of them were never going to instruct.

02

Onboarding takes three weeks

Client care letter, ID, proof of address, source of funds. All by email, all half-completed, all sitting in somebody's inbox.

03

“Any news?”

Asked weekly, by every client on every matter, because nothing tells them otherwise. It is the single largest interruption in a high street practice.

04

Disbursements arrive as a surprise

Searches, Land Registry, court fees. Not hidden deliberately, just never itemised anywhere the client could read it before the bill.

An example site

A firm that puts
the fee on the page.

This example publishes fixed fees and backs them with a working estimator for conveyancing and for wills and probate — itemised, with disbursements shown separately from the firm's own fee.

Ashmore Vale is a fictional firm. The estimator is real — work through it.

What we build for you

Fee, file
and the phone.

Three problems, and the same system solves all of them. None of this replaces your case management — it replaces the inbox around it.

01

A fixed-fee estimator

Priced by matter, value band, tenure and the complications that genuinely move the number, with disbursements itemised separately from your fee.

02

Onboarding in one flow

Client care letter signed online, ID and proof of address uploaded, source of funds captured. Three weeks becomes two days.

03

A matter portal clients will open

One link, no password to remember, showing what stage the matter is at, what you are waiting on and what they need to do. The “any news” call stops.

04

Milestones that update themselves

Searches ordered, enquiries raised, exchange, completion. The client is told as each one lands rather than when they ask.

05

Documents in and out, in one place

Not an email thread with fourteen attachments and two versions of the same signature page.

06

Compliance that leaves a trail

ID checks, source-of-funds evidence and client care acceptance, timestamped and stored against the matter for when you are audited.

The system behind it

The client and
matter side.

The board a practice runs on: what is with whom, what is waiting on the client, and what is genuinely stuck. Shown here in another trade's language, but the machinery is the same.

An example system — every name and figure invented for this page.

How it goes

First working build
in 72 hours.

Firms almost always start with the site and the estimator, because the fee conversation is where the time goes. Onboarding follows.

01

A call about your fees

What you charge for the work you do most, what moves the number, and which disbursements apply.

02

A working site in 72 hours

Live, with your real fee scale in the estimator.

03

Onboarding wired up

Client care, ID, proof of address and source of funds, as one flow rather than an email chain.

04

Then the portal

Milestones and documents, so clients stop ringing to ask what is happening.

Where we work

Firms in Surrey,

Quick answers

Firm questions,
answered straight.

How much does a law firm website cost?

From £250 built and handed over, or £220 up front plus £19 a month hosted and maintained. The estimator, onboarding and portal are quoted free.

Should we really publish fixed fees?

For conveyancing, wills and probate, we think so, and the firms doing it tell us the enquiries got better rather than fewer. For litigation and family, a fixed fee per stage is the honest version and the estimator says so plainly.

Does this replace our case management system?

No, and we will tell you if you do not need us. This replaces the onboarding email chain, the fee conversation and the “any news” phone call. Your matter files stay where they are.

Can clients complete ID checks online?

Yes, along with the client care letter and source-of-funds evidence, in one flow, with everything timestamped against the matter for audit.

Is client data held securely?

It sits on our own UK server, backed up nightly, with certificates renewed automatically. We will walk you through exactly what is stored and where before you commit anything.

Will the estimator handle leasehold and other complications?

Yes — tenure, value band, new build, shared ownership, gifted deposits and lender representation all move the number, and each appears on its own line so the client can see why.
