How much does an architect's website cost?

Should we publish fees?
For domestic work, yes, by stage. A percentage of build cost means nothing to a homeowner who does not yet know the build cost, and the practices that state stage fees win more householder enquiries.
Does it track planning applications?
Yes, with the statutory clocks — validation, consultation and determination — so a client can see the position without ringing and you can see what is drifting.
What about drawing revisions?
Issue sheets: what went out, at what revision, to whom and when. A builder working from the wrong revision is always an issue-sheet failure.
Does this replace our CAD or BIM software?
No, and we would tell you if you needed something else. This replaces the inbox around the drawings, not the drawings.
Is the client portal actually used?
When it holds the current drawing set, the planning position and the fee position, yes. When it holds a welcome message and nothing else, no — which is why we set it up with you rather than handing it over empty.
