We are a test centre, not a testing station attached to a repair upsell. A fail comes with photographs and a price, and you are free to take it elsewhere.

Straight answers

How much is an MOT?
The test is £54.85, which is the statutory maximum, and we do not discount it to make it up on repairs. A free retest is included within ten working days.
Will servicing here affect my manufacturer warranty?
No. Block exemption means a franchised dealer cannot void your warranty for servicing elsewhere, as long as the manufacturer's schedule is followed and the correct parts are used. We follow it and we record it.
Do you charge for diagnostics?
Yes, by the half hour, and we tell you the figure before we start. Anyone offering free diagnostics is recovering it somewhere else.
Can I supply my own parts?
Yes. We will fit them and warrant our labour, but not the part. We will also tell you honestly if what you have bought is not going to last.
Do you do courtesy cars?
Two of them, free, first come first served. Collection and delivery within four miles is also free.
What if the bill is going to go up?
We ring you first, every time. Nothing beyond the agreed price gets done without you saying yes.
