Straight answers

How much does a rewire cost?
For a typical three-bedroom semi, a full rewire lands between £4,200 and £6,800 depending on the number of points and whether the plaster needs making good. The estimator above prices your property specifically.
Do I need a new consumer unit?
If yours is a plastic board with rewireable fuses, almost certainly. A modern board with RCBOs means one fault trips one circuit instead of killing the whole house. It is usually £550 to £850 fitted and certified.
What is an EICR and do I need one?
An Electrical Installation Condition Report. Landlords in England must have one every five years. Homeowners do not have to, but it is what a buyer's surveyor will ask for.
Is the work notified to Building Control?
Yes. We are Part P registered, so notifiable work is certified and notified by us and your certificate arrives by email. You do not have to apply for anything.
Do you charge by the hour?
No. Every job is priced before we start, and the price does not move unless the job does. Hourly rates are how small jobs turn into surprises.
Can you install an EV charger?
Yes, including the load assessment and the notification. Whether your supply needs upgrading first is the question the site visit answers, and that visit is free.
